Our Story

A bit about our sweet beginnings and where our chocolate journey is taking us.

In 1998, we decided to make the Perfect Singapore Chocolate Cake.

We decided to give the boot to fancy French pastries, and resolved to put the cake back into cake - and we would make it chocolate. It was a simple resolve and didn't want to complicate it.

Our Original All Chocolate Cake

Thus, we started a cake shop selling one cake - a simple dark chocolate cake between layers of dark chocolate fudge. Not just mouthfuls of mousse or cream. Not overly sweet but something you would find yourself craving for regularly and never tire of.

Today, the Original All Chocolate Cake is still our favourite cake although we have created hundreds of recipes of new and delicious cakes.

As we continue to do what we love, we've decided to up the ante on being more kind to the Earth. We have removed all plastic bags and single-use plastics from our stores and we are constantly looking for new ways to remain sustainable in all that we do.
